About Fishing Gear
Fishing can be challenging even with the right fishing gear. Fishing
conditions change rapidly, so you need the right tackle: fishing
lures, rods, reels, and fly lines, plus tackle boxes to keep all
your gear organized. A variety of gear like clamps, scissors and
tools make fishing much easier, and for fly fishing you’ll
also need a wide range of flies: saltwater flies, nymphs and streamers.
Besides gear, quality fishing clothing is necessary for comfort,
such as rain gear, waders, hats and gloves. Fishing sandals or water
shoes dry fast, and help you keep your footing on wet, slippery
surfaces. For safely wading in colder streams and rivers, you need
fishing waders or wading boots. Choose felt sole waders for smooth
river-rock bottoms, or rubber sole waders for muddy bottoms. And
if you’re really itching to get into the action, pair your
fishing waders with a belly boat or float tube. |
